About The Performer:

“Who would have thought a little shy girl could have a big, powerful voice?  Meg has been singing since she can remember. Her first solo was in church during a Sunday service. During her elementary and middle school days, she continued to sing in both church and school choirs. In high school, she asked her parents if she could get professional singing lessons. Under the instruction of Amy Heitmuller of Delta, Pennsylvania, she performed at recitals and competitions.  She went to college at Texas Woman’s University and continued her love of singing by obtaining a music minor with a focus in opera. Since then, she’s continued to sing for her church and she’s performed with the Beaumont Community Players and the Orange Community Players. In 2015, Meg was nominated for a Sally Award for Lead Actress in Musical for her portrayal of Nancy in the Beaumont Community Players’ production of Oliver! In 2018, she sang the National Anthem at the Pleasure Island Half Marathon 10k and two mile race. In 2019, she competed at the United American National pageant and sang “Maybe this Time” from the musical Cabaret for the talent portion and won the title of Ms. United America Petite 2019. She loves singing jazz, musical theatre, country, and contemporary Christian. Meg’s musical influences are Ella Fitzgerald, Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton, and Maria Callas. ‘There’s nothing better than connecting with an audience when I’m singing!’”
